What is the Test de français international (TFI)?
The Test de français international evaluates the French level of non-francophones. This multiple choice test assesses a
candidate's ability to understand, speak, read and write French.
The Test de français international (TFI) is accepted by the Ministry of the Interior to meet the French-language
requirement for citizenship in France.
The Ministry requires a Listening Comprehension score of 160 points out of 495 (equivalent to a B1 on the Common European
Framework of Reference scale).
Preparation at Canada College
Experienced teachers efficiently address students' weaknesses to build confidence and increase scores.
We highly recommend taking TFI preparation classes before doing the test. Private lessons quickly help students
prepare to take the TFI.
